    Travel from the UK to Sydney.  Plenty of options available from most departure points across the country, travelling via the Middle East or Asia.

  • Days 2 - 4
    Sydney

    Welcome to Sydney, one of the greatest cities on Earth. You could stay here for two weeks and still have things to do and places to see in this bright and modern city, but with just two days, we better get cramming. The Sydney Opera House is going to sit at the top of most people's to-do lists, and we don't blame them. Learn about this building's unique design and history on a guided tour or simply walk around and appreciate this iconic landmark. For a true breath of fresh air then you should include some time to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens. It's over 200 years old and stands as one of the most important botanical institutions in the world. After a long day of sightseeing, take your pick from one of hundreds of exciting dining options from trendy restaurants to fine dining experiences.

    Sydney to Port Stephens

    Driving distance: 129 miles / 207 KM

    Pick up your car and drive through the exclusive northern suburbs, heading out of the city toward the wild and beautiful Pacific coast to start an unforgettable journey. Stop for a coffee at the ocean café in Terrigal before dining at The Entrance, which serves up great lunches and fantastic sea views. Refreshed and ready for the road, head on through Australia’s second oldest city, Newcastle, before arriving at Port Stephens for the next two nights.

  • Day 6
    Port Stephens

    After an action packed couple days, feel free to enjoy the slower pace of life in Port Stephens. Cruise out on the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean to see marine wildlife or stay on the shore and explore the wonders of Worimi Regional Park, home to large forests and continuously shifting sand dunes. Gan Gan Lookout is a great spot to drink in sweeping views of the whole district, its coastline and the islands just off the mainland.

  • Day 7
    Port Stephens to Coffs Harbour

    Driving distance: 244 miles / 393 KM

    Now for the longest stretch of driving, and arguably the best for stunning scenery.Make your way through the Great Lakes region, visiting  one of Myall, Smith or Wallis if you've time, before arriving  in Port Macquarie – take lunch and walk along the breakwater to see the colourful murals and visit the koala hospital for the daily 3pm tour. Once you're rested and replenished, continue north along the Pacific Coast and arrive into beautiful Coffs Harbour for a two-night stay.

  • Day 8
    Coffs Harbour

    Take a day at leisure around Coffs Harbour. Relax on the sandy beaches or live like a local by trying your hand at surfing, sailing or diving. If you want to explore further afield, an hour or so drive from Coffs Harbour brings you to Dorrigo National Park; part of a million-year-old rainforest, with bountiful birdlife and a skywalk through the rainforest canopy. The Big Banana Fun Park offers a total change of pace with its winding waterslides and great attractions for children! There's also laser tag, arcades and the "biggest banana in the World", which really does have to be seen to be believed.

    Coffs Harbour to Byron Bay

    Drive distance – 143 miles / 229 KM

    Head towards Grafton, a quiet town on the Clarence River. Violet jacaranda trees are everywhere here, and they're a sight to behold. The remarkable journey continues past the unspoilt beaches by Yamba and Ballina and along the coast where Captain Cook first explored Australia. Why not journey a little inland and visit bohemian Lismore before heading back to the welcoming waters of the Pacific for your final two nights at Byron Bay. The Byron at Byron Resort & Spa is set within 45 acres of sub-tropical rainforest, so there's endless opportunities for walks while Tallow Beach provides the perfect setting to relax and reminisce over your thrilling Pacific Coast adventure.

    Byron Bay

    Welcome to one of the world’s most vibrant coastal towns. Walk over to the Cape Byron lighthouse, Australia’s most easterly point anbd gaze over the vastness of the Pacific Ocean. This is a true surfer’s town and just a short drive away are the golden beaches of Tweed Heads. With an endless supply of surf schools, bars, eateries and even a few breweries; this is the time to totally switch off and enjoy the infectious vibe that courses through Byron Bay.

    Byron Bay to the UK via Brisbane

    Drive distance – 110 miles / 177 KM

    On your final day of the tour, take a slow drive north along more stunning Pacific Coastal drives, with the options to stop off at the famous Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise. Continue to Brisbane airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
