    To Nairobi

    Fly to Nairobi, with same day or overnight flights available. On arrival you’ll be met for the private transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 2
    Private plane to Amboseli

    Take to the skies in your private small plane, either booked fro private use or with exclusively lodge guests. East Africa’s beautiful green savannah spreads below you, flying south to the vast plains of the Amboseli National Park. This is picture postcard Africa, with the open plains and fever tree forests overlooked by the iconic snow capped Kilimanjaro.

    Stay for 2 nights at the sublime camp Elewana Tortilis Camp. Opulent thatched tents sit in a private conservancy, with a low environmental impact. Settle in with a cool drink and take in those views of Kilimanjaro.

    The game drives through all the journey will be tailored to you, and the guides here are among the best in the business. On arrival you can get straight out into the bush – Amboseli is renowned for its herds of elephants and you might see herds of over a hundred. Elephant encounters and Kilimanjaro behind offer than perfect instagrammable moment.

  • Day 3
    Amboseli National Park

    Rise early for some extraordinary game viewing the experience of sunrise over the still wilderness is entrancing, and it’s often the best time to see Mount Kili free of cloud. A lavish breakfast out in the bush is a reward for an early start, as well as the best time to see big cats and other animals at most active.

    Afternoons can include a thrilling walking safari, following animal tracks with a ranger and in search of the Small Five. Or drive out for elephant encounters up close at golden hour, with a cool G&T sundowner out in the bush.

  • Day 4
    North to Laikipia and Loisaba Conservancy

    Directly from the Amboseli airstrip fly to the dry and remarkable north of Kenya. No changing airports, no hanging around in terminal buildings, flying directly from wilderness to wilderness.

    Laipikia and Loisaba Conservancy. is the arid and hot north of Kenya, where private wildlife reserves dovetail with working ranches and small communities among an untouched, ancient land.

    Stay for three nights at Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp, perched high above the rolling plans with simply breathtaking views all the way to Mount Kenya on the horizon.

    It will be hard to drag yourself away from your large room, it’s not enough to say tent, or the deck with one of the world’s most amazing infinity pools. Yet there’s so much to see in the area and the afternoon game drive is sure to reveal amazing encounters – there’s strong lion populations, elephant and possibly even wild dog.

    Sundowners here from this lofty position are absolutely unforgettable.

  • Days 5 - 6
    Loisaba Conservancy and Laikipia

    Dawn breaks on another wonderful few days in the wild. Your two full days safari here will be a totally different experience to other regions of Africa. Game drives are amazing with the opportunity to see unique species, and there’s so much more available including horse rides, camel trekking which is rare for African safari, bush walks and even mountain biking – if you want to work off any of the amazing food.

    What’s more, the Samburu villages are well worth a visit and are very much authentic, and visits to the anti-poaching sniffer dog teams are fun and illuminating.

    Let the camp know if you’d like to spend a night on your deck on one of the Elewana Starbeds – disappear into a four-poster bed with nothing between you and the galaxies above surrounded by the sounds of the bush, it’s thrilling.

  • Day 7
    To the Masai Mara

    There’ll no doubt be time for another game drive this morning, to squeeze the most of this enchanting place. And why not indulge in a bush breakfast, leave it to your ranger and impressively attentive staff, they certainly look after the little things so all you need to do is drink it all in.

    Then it’s back in the air in your SkyShuttle to fly over the unmistakable savannah of the Masai Mara National Park.

    This is undoubtably one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world, and rightly so! The Masai teems with wildlife and you will find it all here. The plains studded with acacia trees, the unmistakable colours of Masai tribespeople, it’s the picture postcard image of Africa.

    Elewana Sand River is certainly one of the best places to stay. With just 16 tents it’s a more intensely private experience, with a magical location on the Sand River, bringing wildlife activity all year round.

    The journey to the camp through the park is a game drive in itself, with big African game all around. The camp is remote and elegantly designed to reflect the style of the 1920s and the golden age of safari travel, and you’ll arrive in time to toast a sundowner and dinner in this unforgettable setting.

    Safari in the Masa Mara

    Wake in the heart of the Mara. Here on the banks of the river you can go out wildlife viewing long before the day trippers arrive. You can even see the hills of the Serengeti in Tanzania across the plains.

    Visit the area from around June to November to experience the unique thrill of the Great Migration, surely the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle. Elewana Sand River Camp is in the heart of the action close to the river crossings. At this time of year, you’re likely to be surrounded by thousands of plains animals, wildebeest and zebra, as well as the predators on the trail!

    At any time of year, the game viewing is unsurpassed, did we mention that already?

    You’ll also have the chance to visit a Masai village, and we’ll make sure it’s an authentic experience, and you can glide over the plains by hot air balloon if you wish.

    We’ll leave the details as a surprise but the team at Elewana Sand River will arrange a special farewell dinner to round off a journey of a lifetime in some of Africa’s best national parks.

    After a night amid the sounds of the plains, venture out on an early game drive and drink in the moment with a bush breakfast.

    Say a bittersweet farewell to the wilds of Kenya and fly back to Nairobi. We’ll arrange dinner somewhere fitting for your journey, before your return flight.
