  • Days 1 - 2
    Overnight Travel

    Overnight flight to Sri Lanka.

  • Days 2 - 3
    Travel to Wallawwa in Kotugoda

    Upon your arrival to Sri Lanka, you will be met by a representative who will guide you through immigration formalities and escort you to the lounge. Here, you will be introduced to your Chauffeur Guide, who will accompany you throughout your stay in Sri Lanka. Refreshments will be provided in the lounge.

    You will then check into the Wallawwa in Kotugoda. Here you can spend your evening at your leisure.

  • Days 3 - 4
    Water Garden Sigiriya

    Following breakfast, depart the hotel and travel to Sigiriya and check in at Water Garden Sigiriya.

    Water Garden Sigiriya is surrounded by lakes and water streams, and really is where luxury meets nature.

  • Day 4
    Visit Minneriya National and see the wild herds of Asian Elephants

    After breakfast proceed to Polonnaruwa.

    After a quick visit to the palace and the baths, visit the Tooth Relic Temple, the magnificent Image House and the historical 'Watadage'. The visit ends at the Galvihara Temple where you will witness the awe inspiring Buddha statues carved out of rock. 

    Afterwards you will enjoy a traditional home cooked Sri Lankan meal at a rural café, prepared using wood fire and served on Banana leaves and clay pots.

    After Lunch proceed to Minneirya National Park.

    Minneriya National park is famous for observing large wild herds of Asian Elephants in their natural habitat.  Encountering these giants at close range would definitely be an unforgettable experience.

  • Day 5
    Sigiriya Lion Rock

    Early morning departure to Sigiriya Lion Rock.

    Sigiriya Rock Fortress, also known as 'Lion Rock', was constructed on top of a boulder in the 5th Century and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.

    Enjoy breakfast and a day at leisure in the hotel.

    In the afternoon proceed to Dambulla to visit Kap Ela. Visit a stunning lake in the area, for an exclusive encounter with a Sri Lankan Elephant, with an opportunity to feed & bathe one of these ‘gentle giants’. The visit begins with a local boat ride in the magical Lake and after the encounter, you can take a local tractor ride back to your vehicle.

  • Days 6 - 7
    Sigiriya to Kandy

    After breakfast, proceed to Kandy with a visit to a private spice garden en-route.

    After a tour of the garden, enjoy a delicious traditional rice and curry lunch, enriched with local spices. If you would like to, you also have an opportunity to take part in a hands-on cooking demonstration at the spice garden before lunch.

    Following the visit, carry on the journey to Kandy.

    End your day with a walk on small lanes and back roads to discover the heritage of Kandy through its people, who carry on the traditions of the Kandyan Kingdom. From the keeper of a Buddhist temple, to a lady selling coconuts and several small mom and pop cottage industries. The walk will end up in a local pub for a cold beer.

  • Day 7
    Visiting Temple Tooth

    After breakfast visit a Traditional Dancing School.

    Traditional Kandyan dances include the cobra dance, mask dance and the Ginisila (showing power over fire). 

    Later, visit the Temple of the Tooth

    The famous Temple of the sacred Tooth Relic, also known as the 'Dalada Maligawa' in Kandy is one of the most venerated places of worship for Buddhists. 

  • Days 8 - 9
    Take the train from Kandy to Hatton

    Following breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Kandy Railway Station to take the train from Kandy to Hatton.

    Travelling by train is probably the most attractive way to get about in the lush green Sri Lankan hill country. The ride gives you the opportunity to witness magical landscapes and views. 

    Upon arrival at the Hatton Railway Station you will be met by your driver and transferred to Camellia Hills.

    Live the life of a modern-day tea planter at Camellia Hills, a luxurious five-bedroom boutique bungalow hotel near Dickoya, in Sri Lanka’s crisp hill country.

  • Day 9
    Tea Trails experience

    Today, visit a tea plantation arranged with Camellia Hills.

    This is the essential Tea Trails experience. The resident Tea Planter will demonstrate the age-old tea making process.

  • Days 10 - 11
    Leopard Safari Yala

    This morning after an early breakfast, check-out of the hotel and transfer to Yala.

    Leopard Safari Yala campsite is situated in a nature-filled location of over 12 acres of private land, and has been landscaped in keeping with its natural setting.  

    Spend your afternoon and evening at Leisure.

  • Day 11
    Yala National Park for a game drive

    Its an early start this morning with a packed breakfast, heading towards to the Yala National Park for a game drive.

    Yala National Park consists of dry-mixed evergreen forests and scrublands along with open grasslands, water holes, brackish water lagoons and riverine forests. This park's diverse habitat supports large numbers of mammals, such as spotted, barking and mouse deer, sambhur, wild boar, water buffalo and the endangered sloth bear. This is also one of the best places in the country to see wild elephant, and the rare Sri Lankan Leopard, having one of the highest Leopard densities in the world.

    You will return to the lodge for lunch and time at leisure before heading back to the park for an evening game drive.

  • Day 12
    Game Drives

    Today will be another adventure filled day with a morning and evening game drives in the park.

    Travel to Kumu Beach

    This morning, depart for Balapitiya following breakfast.

    Upon arrival, check in at Kumu Beach. and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

    Visit Galle Fort UNESCO World Heritage site

    Breakfast and morning at leisure at this beautiful beach hotel. 

    Late afternoon, enjoy a visit Galle Fort with your chauffeur guide. A UNESCO World Heritage site. 

    Historically, this award-winning World Heritage fortified township was an essential port of call for Chinese, Persian, Arab and Indian traders. Javanese and Sumatrans came later followed by Marco Polo in 1299 AD. 
     
    Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner, or you can also choose to have dinner at one of the many cafés and restaurants in the Galle Fort, specializing in a variety of local and international cuisine.

    Enjoy Balapitiya

    Today, enjoy the beach or use the time to explore the local area. Take a visit to the Turtle Conversation Project in Kosgoda or a boat ride through the Madu River (both to be paid locally).

    Depart Sri Lanka

    Breakfast at the hotel before check out and transfer to Colombo Airport.
