Tell us a few things about yourself...
I have worked in the travel industry for over 14 years and have been lucky to visit so many fantastic destinations. My passion for travel has grown over the years and I love sharing my experiences and knowledge with my clients. I pride myself on offering excellent customer service and building my client base through repeat bookings and referrals.
What is your favourite destination and why?
This is hard to narrow down to one destination, for me it has to be the ‘Big Apple’ – New York! It really is like walking around on a film or TV set. With so much to see and do, you will be spoilt for choice. There is something here for everyone, from foodies to shopaholics, and some amazing sights to see including the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. Seeing a show on Broadway is also a must!
Which hotel or resort is your favourite and why?
Gili Lankanfushi in the Maldives. We were fortunate enough to stay in a Villa Suite over the lagoon with a rooftop sun deck. It’s a truly relaxing Maldivian experience with amazing dining experiences including 360, an elevated dining area in the Organic Garden with stunning panoramic views. And the spa treatments are to die for!
What has been your most memorable travel experience?
I would say it was when I had dinner on a deserted castaway island. I was staying at The Residence in the Maldives and the hotel arranged the dinner on their own private island. I was sat with a few friends under the stars as our dinner was being cooked in the middle of the Indian Ocean – it was a truly memorable experience!
Where is next on your wish list?
A safari in South Africa to see the big five would be an amazing experience. I would like to start of the trip with a tour through the Winelands, visiting the various vineyards and seeing the spectacular scenery. I would then want to go on safari and experience nature at its best. I know it would be a truly unforgettable trip.
