Tell us a few things about yourself...
I have worked in travel for over nine years and in that time I’ve been able to travel to many countries and had some unforgettable experiences. I tailor-make each holiday for all my clients which range from single to multi centre trips all over the world, offering the best advice and service possible.
What is your favourite destination and why?
My favourite destination and the most memorable was definitely when I visited Borneo in 2013. I stayed at Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort and Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa, both in in Kota Kinabalu, which are equally special. Borneo itself is full of wonderful things to do and see, from visiting the orang-utan sanctuaries, which was out of this world, to snorkelling off a small private island in the middle of the ocean. It was truly unforgettable.
Which hotel or resort is your favourite and why?
My favourite hotel has to be St Nicolas Bay in Crete, I visited it on a work familiarisation trip and loved it that much I decided to book to get married here! The hotel itself is just so beautiful with incredible views out to sea, the service from staff is amazing and the food is just delicious!
What has been your most memorable travel experience?
My most memorable experience has to be staying at Burj Al Arab in Dubai. Staying in this world-famous hotel was better than I could have ever imagined. The architecture is spectacular and everything about the hotel is ultra-luxurious, from the entrance with its gold water fountain to the sumptuous restaurant at the top of the hotel overlooking the whole of Dubai. Every suite in the hotel comes with its own personal butler who is there to ensure you have the best possible stay.
Where is next on your wish list?
I would absolutely love to visit South Africa. It has so much to offer that you could go back year after year and never do the same thing twice! I would love to travel through the Winelands and sample some of the local wines as well as experiencing a safari in Kruger National Park. I’ve always wanted to see the big five in their natural habitat, it would be a dream come true!
