Far East family holidays

The Far East may not be a part of the world you would automatically think of as a family holiday destination but it’s now time to lay aside all preconceptions because we’re about to show you some excellent Far East delights to enthral the whole family.

Far East Cooking
First up cooking. Now, maybe you’re thinking things like, ‘I do enough of this at home’ or ‘I wouldn’t allow my kids anywhere near an oven’. Both of these thoughts cannot be argued against and we’re not expecting you to suddenly become a guest contestant on Masterchef Far East, if there even is such a thing. However, if you bypass the opportunity to fry Thai style you’ll be missing out on a lot of family fun. Take Spice Spoons, the cooking school at Ananatara Si Khao Resort, just south of Krabi in Thailand. Here you’ll join expert culinary sorts who can tailor courses to your desires. You can even learn the historic royal art of carving fruits and vegetables into intricate flowery shapes – no really, don’t mock it ‘till you’ve tried it.

Far East Clubbing (for Kids)
Kids clubs, (though nightclubs for kids would be a novel idea) are a pivotal part of several properties in the Far East. A primary example of true kids club pleasure is The Den at Soneva Koh Kood’s Dugong Club in sunny Thailand. The clubhouse is vibrant, the staff are caring and energetic and the activities range from kiddie kayaking to elephant rides.

Far East Elephants
Speaking of which, you have got to check out one of the stand out attraction’s in all of Thailand. It involves elephants and these amazing creatures can be washed, fed and all ‘round communicated with by you. What better way to get acquainted than with a vacuum-like whoosh of food up the snout of one of nature’s greatest? There’s also some pretty cool river rafting the whole family will enjoy. Where can you do all this? Elephant Hills of course.

Far East spa fun
Did you know there are spas for children here in the Far East? It sounds a little far-fetched I grant you but it’s actually more fun than it might at first sound. They get a bath, back massage, bath for their feet, mask for their feet, manicure and pedicure and after all that probably the best night’s sleep the family has ever enjoyed.
