Fisherman’s Bastion

Fisherman's Bastion is a neo-Gothic and Neo-Romanesque terrace. Wander the area and wherever you look you'll feel like you've been transported in time to a mythical, fairy tale past. The terrace is richly decorated with seven towers that form a perfect backdrop to photographs. They also offer panoramic views of the city and magical memories.

The Hungarian Parliament Building is one of the most sublime Gothic constructions. With its many jagged spires and heavily decorated facade, it forms an iconic sight lying next to the waters of the Danube. Matthias Church

The breathtaking Matthias Church sits at the front of Fisherman's Bastion adding to the splendour of the region. Constructed around the 14th century, it's another fine example of Gothic architecture with lots of jagged lines, piercing spires and triangular motifs. Inside the church is as beautifully crafted as the outside, with carvings, sculptures and arching pillars.

Spread across two floors, the Hungarian National Museum shares Hungary's vivid past with a collection that spans the Paleolithic era to today. Discover Roman works of art, prehistoric jewellery, historic weapons and medieval stone carvings.
