Rose Gums Wilderness Retreat sits 80km south of Cairns on the stunning coastal ranges of the Cairns Highlands/Atherton Tablelands, next to the World Heritage Wooroonooran National Park. Nerada Tea Factory, Lake Eacham and Malanda Falls are just a few of the many attractions also nearby. The retreat has 230 acres of private tropical forests filled with all sorts of fascinating wildlife including the musky rat-kangaroo, the smallest and most primitive kangaroo in the world, the platypus and several species of butterfly. Enjoy treetop views from specially handcrafted pole and timber treehouses. These comfortable dwellings include a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a large spa bathtub and separate shower, lovely furnished living and dining areas, a private balcony, wood burning fireplace and king size beds. Retreat leisure features include outdoor tennis courts, a 9km walking track and nature photo workshops.
