&Beyond Chobe Under Canvas is situated in Chobe National Park in the far north of Botswana, a 4,500 square mile reserve known for its large concentrations of elephant. The camp comprises five en-suite safari tents as well as guest lounge and dining areas. Mobile tents are carefully positioned as close as possible to the resident game, moving to a different site every five or six days to ensure that fresh areas are explored. Taking place in the morning and then later in the afternoon, drives are carried out by professionally-trained guides who try to tailor the experience to your preferences. All meals are included and dinner involves a delicious meal cooked on the open flames of a blazing fire. After a day of safari, end your day perfectly with a private boat cruise as you sip on a cocktail and watch the sunset over the Chobe River.

Mobile safari tents are placed in the shade of a dense forest and feature two chairs at the foot of a double bed, where guests can gaze across the African bush. The en-suite bathroom includes a flush WC and refreshing bucket shower.
Guests can take part in morning and afternoon game drives, private boat cruises on the Chobe River and photographic safaris led by a professional photographer. Drives are carried out in semi-open 4x4 safari vehicles with fridge.
You will depart on a morning and afternoon game drive. Drives are guided by professionally-trained guides who will ask about your favourite wildlife and try to ensure that your preferences are met; be it tracking a particular species or getting to know the general habits of the animals. Guides will also tell you about the vegetation of the region.
Private boat cruise
The best way to end a day of safari, the private boat cruise entails sipping on a cocktail whilst watching an African sunset over the still waters of the Chobe River. Cruises are carried out in specially designed river boats and often include sightings of grazing buffalos, elephants and antelopes.
Joined by a professional photographer, you will depart in a custom built vehicle or boat and receive expert advice on how to capture the best images. You can bring your own equipment or use the state of the art digital SLR cameras with zoom lenses provided.
