The former family estate of Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron is set in 17 acres just outside the old town of Salzburg. Rooms are in the Meierhof, whilst suites are in the historic Schloss palace. The impressive Schloss building was used to depict the Von Trapp family home in the Sound of Music movie. The hotel has a a café for guests onsite whilst an a la carte restaurant is a 5-minute walk on the opposite side of the lake. Leisure facilities include the gardens plus a fitness centre, minigolf and jogging track and complimentary bike hire.
