‘Historic and Opulent’
Originally crafted as the residence of the Prince of Württemberg in 1863, the building was then transformed into Hotel Imperial in 1873 and has since gained a renowned reputation for its impeccable service and timeless elegance. Placed in the heart of Vienna overlooking the famous Ringstrasse Boulevard, the hotel’s excellent location puts you only walking distance away from attractions such as the Vienna State Opera, Hofburg Imperial Palace and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Visit the coffee-house setting of Café Imperial in the afternoon and treat yourself to a slice of perfected Imperial Torte. At the landmark 1930s Viennese-style OPUS Restaurant, taste the creative combination of traditional Austrian cooking with bold international influences. In the evening, visit the warm and welcoming lounge bar of 1873 HalleNsalon - reminiscent of a library with its cosy armchairs set underneath glittering crystal chandeliers. Retire to your guest room and bask in the surroundings of authentic antiques and silk wall coverings whilst you gaze across views of either the hotel’s courtyard, Musikverein or Ringstrasse Boulevard.
In Our Opinion
‘This is a place for lovers of class and style from a bygone era. Much of the hotel wouldn’t look out of place in the 1800s, but is still just as easy on the eye two centuries on.’
