Palm Spring Aerial Tramway
Get a bird’s eye view of Palm Springs and its amazing surrounds from the world’s largest rotating tramcar. During a short and thrilling journey, you’ll travel for two and a half miles along the cliffs of Chino Canyon with beautiful panoramic views of the valleys below. As you arrive at Mountain Station, you’ll find restaurants, theatres and more.
San Jacinto Peak
Plan a walk up one of the scenic trails to the summit of this stunning mountain for rewarding panoramic views of Palm Springs. If you prefer a more leisurely ride to the top, take the aerial tram. On a visit to San Jacinto Peak, you’ll discover granite peaks, lush forests and fragrant mountain meadows.
Sunnylands
This historic mansion and grounds were once a winter retreat for the wealthy Annenberg family. Now, it is a treat for visitors to Palm Springs. Play a round on its scenic golf course, wander through the 12 acres of lovely gardens or stop to admire the rotating series of artworks in the visitors' centre.
Cabot's Pueblo Museum
Pay a visit to this unusual museum in Desert Hot Springs to learn about businessman, artist, and human rights activist Cabot Yerxa in his incredible home. He independently built this massive pueblo in the 1940s. Today, you can visit his impressive collection of Native American art and souvenirs from around the country.
The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens
Discover a stunning botanical garden at the foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The Living Desert Zoo firmly focuses on the fascinating flowers and plants that flourish in the desert. You can also get up close and personal with magnificent animals in their natural setting including mountain lions, leopards, warthogs and bighorn sheep.
