Artis Royal Zoo
Visit the oldest zoo in the Netherlands. The Artis Royal Zoo has been opened since 1838 and is currently home to 900 various species of animals. In addition to land animals, you’ll also find an aquarium with sharks, eel and exotic fish. Kids of all ages will love meeting the many animals that live here.
Anne Frank Museum
A visit to the Anne Frank House is a genuinely moving experience. You can explore the cramped rooms where the Frank and van Pels family lived in hiding from the Nazis. It was here that she kept her infamous diary which recorded their secret life, a journal that would become one of the world's most significant books.
Rijksmuseum
As a Dutch national museum, Rijksmuseum features a superstar collection of over seven million pieces of art and antiques dating back to 1809. It includes over 5,000 paintings housed in 250 rooms. Make sure to visit the in-house library which consists of a collection of over 35,000 books and view masterpieces by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Johannes Vermeer.
Van Gogh Museum
Discover a tribute to one of the world’s most talented artists. Often heralded as the best art museums in the world, Van Gogh Museum should be at the top of any Amsterdam itinerary. As home to the most extensive collection of Van Gogh masterpieces, you can see famous works like The Potato Eaters, The Yellow House, Sunflowers, and Almond Blossoms.
