Gamla Stan

Vasa Museum
Vasa Museum’s main exhibition is the Vasa warship, a preserved 17th-century vessel that capsized and sank in Stockholm’s waters in 1628. The ship was rescued from its watery grave, salvaged and now forms the centrepiece of this informative museum. At Vasa Museum, you can go on guided tours, admire maritime artefacts, and learn about this ship’s history.
Drottningholm Palace
Take a boat trip to the island of Lovon, where you'll find one of Sweden's most beautiful royal palaces. Built in the 17th-century, Drottningholm Palace is a UNESCO world heritage site and features lavish Baroque architecture and lovely manicured gardens. Drottningholm Palace is a highlight of any trip to Stockholm.
