Ho Chi Minh City Museum
The Ho Chi Minh City Museum includes fascinating exhibitions on the Vietnam War, and is well worth seeing. This dark chapter is sensitively told through photographs, artefacts and memorabilia. The War Remnants Museum is more graphic, but remains an important reminder of the past. Sharing this history is a vital part of the healing process for Vietnam.
Riverboat Tour
A riverboat tour is a great way to see more of the city in style. Cruise down the river taking in the sights, with exclusive dinner and drinks packages available. Saigon Opera House
The sophisticated Saigon Opera House, also known as the Municipal Theatre, sits proudly at the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. Built in 1898 by the French architect Eugene Ferret, it is one of the most attractive sights in the city. Added to that, the echo-free oval auditorium offers a great view of the stage regardless of seating.
Jade Emperor Pagoda
Out of all the pagodas in Vietnam, the Jade Emperor Pagoda is one of the highlights. It was built in the 1900s by Taoists and Buddhists, and is a pinnacle of ancient architecture as well as a revered spiritual site. Elegantly carved panels and ornate deities decorate the interior, which is framed with lotus flowers and fruit offerings.
Lam Son Square
Recognised as one of the city's most prestigious addresses, Lam Son Square is a hotspot for a day spent shopping or a night of culture with some of the most affluent locals. Based in the favourable Vung Tau coastal town, the Square includes a collection of designer brands and boutiques that cover everything from fashion to health and beauty.
