When To Visit

Texas and New Mexico have a dry climate with warm temperatures. As Texas and New Mexico are large states, weather patterns can vary. Summers are generally sunny and temperatures hover around the low to mid 30s in Santa Fe and Dallas. Yet you'll find refreshing air-con and swimming pools are ubiquitous temperatures cool off considerably during winter months.

Santa Fe can see lows of -8°C, whilst Dallas has lows of 4°C in January. Yet, the weather remains quite dry, so it's a pleasant time for hikes and other outdoor adventures.

Food & Drink

Luxury hotels in Texas and New Mexico feature menus with international as well as regional cuisines. Dishes incorporate influences from Native American, Spanish, and Mexican cuisines. New Mexico's cuisine is known for its unique spices, particularly red or green New Mexico chile peppers, anise, and pinon.

Regional specialties in New Mexico include frybread-style sopapillas, breakfast burritos, and green chile stew.
