"What sets Belmond La Residencia apart is its rare sense of authenticity. So many five-star retreats chase a modern kind of polish, but here the luxury lies in its old-world charm — centuries-old stone, the smell of orange blossom, the quiet of the mountains. Our experts especially love how art feels woven into every corner: from sculpture gardens to resident painters at work, it’s a hotel that helps you to feel Mallorca's creative heart."
‘Mallorca’s Most Luxurious Artful Retreat’
Set between the Tramuntana Mountains and the Mediterranean, Belmond La Residencia captures the quiet soul of Mallorca’s artistic village of Deià. Spread across two 16th-century manor houses surrounded by olive and citrus groves, this world-famous retreat blends a chic rustic feel with refined, modern comfort.
Each room and suite is individually styled with Mallorcan antiques and original artworks, while terraces and private pools open onto sweeping mountain or sea views. Days adopt a relaxed rhythm — from the award-winning spa and quiet, cooling pools to art classes, tennis, and complimentary boat trips along the coastline.
Dining is - as expected from Belmond - nothing short of exceptional: El Olivo serves candlelit fine dining in a former olive press, while Café Miró and Tramuntana Grill bring a lighter touch to Mediterranean flavours. A shuttle to Cala Deià beach completes the picture of this escape, where art, nature and understated luxury combine on Mallorca’s perhaps most storied coast.
Open for dinner only, Belmond’s signature fine-dining restaurant is housed in the estate’s historic olive press, serving elevated Mediterranean cuisine through 6 or 10 course tasting menus with Moorish, Mallorcan and seasonal influences. Expect a candlelit, romantic ambiance, stone-walled interiors, refined service, and a wine pairing curated by a long-standing sommelier.
This is Belmond La Residencia’s more flexible, all-day restaurant. It serves lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, and is open for all-day dining from mid-afternoon through to the evening – a lighter, more casual but elegant menu of Mediterranean & local dishes, tapas, sharing plates, and seasonal ingredients. Guests may also enjoy live piano music in the evenings and a terrace setting.
Belmond calls this the pool restaurant / grill, as it serves Mediterranean dishes, salads, lighter plates, grilled meats and fish. It’s open for lunch throughout the entire season, and for dinner in the high season only. Expect a more relaxed setting and a casual dress.
