The Luxury Franschhoek Spa at La Residence
The spa features two in-house therapists but also uses a network of highly-qualified therapists to deliver massages and beauty treatments. Signature treatments include the Swedish Massage, which is specifically designed to relax muscles and stimulate circulation – ideal after a long flight, as well as the Deep Tissue Massage which aims to ease stiff necks and lower back tightness. Treatments can be enjoyed in the open-air Tea House during the warmer months. Spa facilities include an air-conditioned double treatment room.

A lavish breakfast buffet or hot menu is available in the morning. Lunch at the restaurant is a casual affair, placing an emphasis on light and tasty seasonal food. The hotel prides itself on the use of regional produce and enjoys serving traditional game such as springbok, local fish and free-range poultry. The restaurant’s dining area is reminiscent of a grand manor hall, appointed with sparkling chandeliers, black and white flooring and fireplaces; al fresco seating is also available for summer meals. A seasonal and flavourful menu uses the best local ingredients as well as produce from the hotel’s own kitchen garden, and is of course complimented by fine South African wines.

You can take part in a personalised cookery demonstration with the chef at the restaurant’s beautiful marble table. The chef will prepare your dinner course-by-course, whilst you watch and ask any questions you like.
