Bab Al Shams Desert Resort is located in the desert, adjacent to Dubai International Endurance Centre. It is a surprisingly close 40 minutes’ drive from the centre of Dubai and Dubai International Airport.
Constance Prince Maurice (shown on the map) is on the northeast coast of Mauritius. The resort is an hour’s drive or a 15-minute helicopter ride from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Zala is always brimming with the vibrant flavours of the Mediterranean. An open-air dinner spectacular can be found at Al Hadheerah where authentic Middle Eastern cuisine and enchanting live performances can be found. At Anwa rooftop lounge you can revel in breathtaking sunsets, masterfully crafted cocktails and Pan-Asian delights.
L’Archipel is located in the main building and overlooks the pool, here you’ll find a la carte menus with light Mauritian-influenced gourmet food and themed buffet dinners. Le Barachois is a unique floating seafood restaurant comprising of five decks amongst the natural fish reserve, reached via a wooden pathway the restaurant overlooks the lagoon with unspoiled views of the mountain range. Alternatively, you can find sushi, sashimi, maki, dim-sum and other Asian specialities in the Laguna Bar area at the Asian Restaurant.
Day One
Board your Emirates flight in London Gatwick for the direct overnight service to Dubai.
Day Two
Landing early today to make the most of your time here, a private transfer will meet you at the airport to take you into the Dubai desert. You’ll be staying the next 3 nights at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort in a Deluxe Garden View Room with breakfast and evening meals included.
Days Three to Four
In this unique, luxurious environment you have the opportunity to experience some equally unique activities. The resort concierge can arrange encounters such as horse riding through the desert dunes, fat bike safaris, falconry, camel trekking, hot air balloon rides over the dunes and much more. The selection is broad enough to satisfy any tastes and allow you to experience more of Dubai, beyond the bright lights.
Day Five
Undoubtedly on a high from some wonderful desert activities, today your private transfer will take you back to Dubai airport for the onward journey to Mauritius. On arrival, another private transfer will escort you to the northeast of the island and the luxurious Constance Prince Maurice. You’ll stay here for the next 7 nights in a Junior Suite, again with breakfast and evening meals included.
Days Six to Eleven
There’s a very strong chance you’ll be immediately drawn to the beautiful white sands of the beach, facing that wonderful blue Indian Ocean. Pull yourself away from there and you’ll find a wonderful spa, water sports that include Hobie Cats, waterskiing, windsurfing and more, and even two championship golf courses. Beyond the resort’s facilities, the island offers the chance to visit a sugarcane museum, climb its peaks, spot pods of bottlenose dolphins and even go zip-lining.
Day Twelve
It’s finally time to return to reality, a private transfer will take you back to the airport for the journey home with Emirates, via Dubai, back to London Gatwick.
