Legal Requirements

To be legally married in Jamaica, the bride and groom must arrive to the hotel at least 3 days prior to the wedding day (not including weekends). All documents should be in 60 days prior to the wedding date. These include:

• Full and valid passport or notarised copy
• Original birth certificate or notarised copy
• If either party is divorced – Decree Absolute or notarised copy of Final Divorce Decree
• If either party is widowed –notarised copy of Death Certificates
• Notarised copy of legal name change or adoption documents
• If either party is under the age of 21, notarised parental consent
