Mara Bushtops boats a sensational location in front of the largest natural salt lick in the Masai Mara and perched on the side of a hill, with a scenic valley to one side. Set amid the bush tops in a private conservancy bordering the Masai Mara. Activities such as Masai village visits, walking safaris, night game drives, private sundowners, spa treatments and private bush breakfasts are part of the experience. Game drives are conducted in open converted 4x4’s and accompanied by a professional ranger and local Masai spotter.

From bush breakfasts whilst watching the sun rise, full day game drives with picnics under a tree, watching animals also enjoying their lunch, to dinners under the stars. Meals at Mara Bushtops are a special occasion, freshly prepared and set in different locations so that you can experience the best the Mara has to offer.

Location

Mara Bushtops is set within a private 6,500 acre wildlife reserve – the Bushtops Wildlife Conservancy (Isaaten).

Depending on the traffic on the escarpment and in and out of Nairobi, a drive to the lodge will take around four to five hours. 

Bushtops is however also accessible by air, and the recommend form of travel. There are daily scheduled flights to the Mara from both Nairobi Wilson Airport and Mombasa. The flight from Nairobi takes just 45 minutes, whilst Mombasa takes two hours but (weather-permitting) includes a fantastic view of Mt Kilimanjaro.
