Kuala Lumpur & Langkawi

'Magical Malaysia'

In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city, the monumental Petronas Towers watch over a modern cityscape that thrives with designer shops, street boutiques and iconic landmarks like the Menara KL Tower and ornate Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Indulgent spas and fine-dining with menus featuring international and traditional dishes are present throughout the capital and country.

Malaysia is also home to many tropical islands, including Langkawi.  The island interior is decorated with rainforests and has coastlines of white powdery sand. Rainbow coloured fish swim through coral reefs under turquoise waters and monkeys, and tropical birds move through the jungles.

The Majestic Kuala Lumpur
Perfectly positioned in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, The Majestic offers the ideal location for exploring this vibrant city - not least the famous Petronas Towers.  Within its own grounds though, you'll find yourself transported back in time with its Colonial and Art Deco styles.  The 1930's atmosphere in a modern hub city is quite the combination.

St Regis Langkawi
The St Regis Langkawi is a magnificent hotel where only the very best service will do, boasting a 'swimmable' lagoon and panoramic views you'll never want to leave.  If you are able to pull yourself away from your sunbed you'll find an island filled with activities and experiences, not to mention some world class golf courses.

The Majestic Kuala Lumpur

The Majestic offers a taste of tradition in The Tea Lounge and Colonial Cafe whilst its central location lends itself very well to exploring the many dining venues of Kuala Lumpur.

St Regis Langkawi

Elegance and sophistication is the order of the day at the St Regis dining venues.  You must try Kayaputi, the distinctive over-water restaurant designed by renowned architect Bill Bensley.  Alternatively, the nearby marina and main town of Kuah are within easy reach for when you'd prefer to dine out.

Kuala Lumpur

Aquaria World & Petronas View
Are you ready to be immersed in the underwater world of the oceans? If you love fish and all things aquatic, start the day by heading to the Aquaria KLLC Park. Discover fish, sharks and giant turtles, and explore an exotic sea world in the Rocky Shore Touch Pool and walk through the 90-metre transparent underwater tunnel.
Afterwards, you'll head to the Petronas Twin Towers which soar to a height of 452 metres. More than a skyscraper, the Petronas towers are an iconic symbol of the country. Proceed up to the Twin Tower’s sky bridge via a fast lift and take in the view of Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Move to the observation deck on the 86th floor for a view of the whole city.

Batu Caves & Royal Selangor Pewter Tour
Exploring the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur city, visit the well-known Royal Selangor Pewter factory, the largest in the world. Take a brief tour around the factory, learn about its history and watch a demonstration of some of the many processes involved in creating a pewter product including casting, filling, polishing and hammering. Afterwards, enjoy a brief stop at the Batik Centre and discover how this popular Malaysian fabric is designed and printed. The last part of the tour to Batu Caves is the most exciting. This world-famous limestone outcrop houses a Hindu temple and is visited by thousands of pilgrims and tourists every year. At the entrance, admire the impressive golden structure of the 140-feet tall statue of Hindu God Lord Murugan, and then climb up 272 stairs to reach the main cave temple. At the top, look out for the cheeky monkeys and take in the magnificent view of the skyline of Kuala Lumpur.

Langkawi

Langkawi Cable Car & Black Sand Beach
Langkawi Cable Car is located in the Oriental Village and the clear bubble-shaped cable car takes the 2.2km ride up the mountainside on a 42-degree incline. From the cable car, view the Seven Wells (Telaga Tujuh), waterfalls and the dense tropical forest, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Geopark. Gunung Macincang at 708 metres offers a spectacular viewpoint. A hike from Station One, uphill to Station Two has been carved through the vegetation to create a walk through the forest. After the mountain visit, pass by Black Sand Beach and discover this unusual beach with black sand and finish with a visit to the Handicraft Centre of Langkawi.

Eagle Watching and Mangrove Tour
Take a cruise by speedboat along mangrove swamp on this half-day tour. Watch Brahminy Kite Eagles and White Belly Sea Eagles in action trying to outwit each other during the 'Eagle Feeding'. Virgin mangrove jungle inhabits the water's edge, and crabs, mudskippers and abundant birdlife thrive in this relatively uninhabited environment. Along the way, admire the limestone caves and coves that lend character to the landscape and after the tour, enjoy lunch in a colourful fishing village and sample seafood fresh from the farm.

Admire the sunset while enjoying cocktails and a barbecue dinner, a perfect way to finish the day and to start the evening. Sail on a shared yacht with a few friends or fellow passengers and discover the beauty of the 99 islands of Langkawi at sunset. With the engines turned off, enjoy the sounds of the sea and the waves lapping against the boat. During the journey, enjoy an on-board BBQ dinner and free bar throughout the evening.
