Klein’s Camp

‘Panoramas of the Serengeti and Maasai Mara’

Strategically-placed on the edge of the Kuka Hills, Klein’s Camp overlooks magnificent views of the game-filled valley below, through which huge herds of wildebeest and zebra migrate each year. The diverse resident wildlife include large herds of elephants, lions and leopards, and may be admired from every area of the camp – even the outdoor pool. The camp offers cosy guest areas including a bar and sitting area, as well as a dining area where wholesome dishes are served beside an open fireplace; after being prepared using fresh produce from the garden. Accommodation comprises ten intimate cottages made of local stone and makuti thatch, with private verandas and views across the valley. When it comes to exploring the wildlife you can enjoy an undisturbed experience, due to the camp being situated on its own private concession. Visits to the local Maasai village offer a glimpse into their daily life and traditions.

In Our Opinion

‘Klein’s Camp reveals truly breath-taking views from its elevated hillside position and provides remote game viewing opportunities.’

After a morning game drive you will return to camp for your breakfast, consisting of platters of fruit and cheese as well as hot dishes such as eggs, oats and waffles. Or if you prefer you may tack a packed breakfast and prolong the morning game drive.
Walk off your breakfast with a bush walk near the camp in the company of your guide. After working up an appetite enjoy a selection of lunch platters.
Afternoon Tea
Following a quick sleep or a refreshing dip in the camp’s pool, you will then discuss plans for the upcoming game drive over afternoon tea.
Mouth-watering dinners are served in the main dining area beside the large open fireplace. Wholesome dishes are created using fresh vegetables from the camp’s shamba – African garden.
