Location
Located 49 miles to the north of Townsville, Orpheus Island is a secluded island that stretches across 6 miles of pristine National Park.

Diving
The reef that surrounds Orpheus and the neighbouring islands offer some of the most diverse marine experiences. The local dive sites are home to roughly 1,100 of the 1,500 species of fish on the reef.
There are different seasons to bear in mind:
• Manta Ray Season – July to early November
• Humpback Whale Migration – Late June to mid-late September
• Annual coral spawning – Mid-late October to late November
Guests can take part in a complimentary pool ‘try dive’ whilst at Orpheus. There are also other courses available such as:

Restaurants and Cafés
Opus Restaurant
Opus Restaurant serves a complexion of light, contemporary dishes with a daily-changing menu that showcases the regions excellent fusion cuisine. Continental and á la carte breakfast served 08:00 – 10:00. Tapas style lunch handpicked by the head chef 13:00. Dinner served 19:00.
