The Great Ocean Road
Winding along the coast, and offering incredible views of the Southern Ocean, the Great Ocean Road is considered to be one of the world's best roadtrip routes. You'll pass the acclaimed surf of Bells Beach, be able to hit the surf in Torquay, and witness the rugged limestone spires of the 12 Apostles.
St Kilda Beach
You can't visit Melbourne and not spend at least one day sunning yourself on one of the beaches here. Unwind as palm trees sway behind you, or enjoy a gentle walk along the boardwalk which spans across the sands. The beach itself isn't far from Luna Park, too, so you can combine the two in one leisurely day.
Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria
Visit rare and spectacular plant species at the Royal Botanic Gardens of Victoria. With a leading role in plant conservation through biodiversity research, this city-based oasis is home to more than 8,500 global plant species in an exciting array of colours and textures. Must-do activities include the Aboriginal Walk, and punting on Ornamental Lake.
