Ski and Snowboard School
Whistler is a great place to learn to ski and snowboard under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor. There's one official school operated by the resort, which also offers refresher courses for more experienced skiers and boarders looking to improve their technique, or increase their confidence so they take on the challenging runs of the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.
Black Bear Viewing Tour
The area surrounding Whistler and Blackcomb mountains is a vast untamed wilderness of glaciers and ancient forests. This is to home to eagles, cougars, wolves and the area's most famous residents - black bears. Book a specialist tour and from the comfort of a 4x4 see the bears and their cubs up close in their natural habitat.
Golfing Challenge
It's not all about winter sports. With four championship courses, two of which were designed by legends Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, Whistler is Canada's finest golf destination. These award-winning courses not only provide demanding tests of your ability from tee and green, they're located among a spectacular mountain landscape and just a short distance from Whistler's hotels and restaurants.
Heli-Skiing
This is unquestionably the ultimate ski and snowboard experience. Reach remote, untouched slopes by helicopter for some serious off-trail downhill skiing or snowboarding in the company of an expert guide. It's the best way to cover the vast terrain of the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains and take in the magnificent scenery. Packages for small groups can be arranged.
Peak-2-Peak Gondola Alpine Experience
For those with a head for heights, the world's longest and highest lift system, which connects the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, will set the pulses racing. From the glass-bottom gondola, enjoy spectacular 360° views of the village and Fitzsimmons Creek - 1,500 ft above the valley floor. This ticket provides access to the new Cloudraker Skybridge which spans Whistler Bowl.
