Tenerife

Teide National Park

Teide National Park is one of the major highlights on the island, attracting walkers, geologists, and general adventurers alike. In the centre of the park, you’ll find Mount Teide, the highest mountain in Spain. It can take anywhere from five to eight hours to summit and is not too difficult. However, you must obtain a permit to reach the top and these permits are not easy to obtain. Even if you don’t want to summit, there are a range of other things to see such as volcanic craters, rivers of petrified lava and fantastic views of the volcano itself.

Water sports in El Medáno

El Medáno is a town on Tenerife’s southern coast famous for windsurfing and kitesurfing. The long stretch of sandy beach and year-round winds make this the ideal spot to try your hand at water sports. If you’re seeking a slower-paced activity, book a snorkelling trip or dolphin-spotting boat tour.

Tenerife

Siam Park

Six time winner of Tripadvisor’s ‘World’s Best Waterpark’, Siam Park has become Tenerife’s most popular tourist attraction, with over a million visitors annually. It has the iconic Tower of Power, which is a near-vertical slide that plunges through an aquarium filled with sharks and rays.

Beaches

What would a trip to Tenerife be without a day on the beach? One of the most popular beaches on the island, Playa del Duque, can be found in Costa Adeje, in the south. This chic district is also home to many of the luxury five-star hotels on the island, so it’s well looked-after and is home to hundreds of comfortable loungers and beds.
