Miniatur Wunderland
As one of Hamburg's most popular attractions, Miniatur Wunderland boasts the largest model railroad in the world, as well as full model cities and a working model airport. There are 930 trains with nearly 14,450 railway wagons, 228,000 trees, 215,000 figures and 3,660 buildings and bridges! Turns out: the best things really do come in small packages.
Planten und Blomen
Visit the celebrated Planten und Blomen park in the middle of Hamburg. It is home to the old botanical garden, along with the largest Japanese garden in Europe. Other attractions include a tropical house and and amusements like miniature golf. In winter, when the temperature drops, you can pop on some skates and glide on the open ice rink.
Alster Lakes
Surrounded by beautiful parklands, the Alster Lakes offer a welcome escape to unwind from your city adventures. Hagenbeck Zoo
Start your own exciting adventure with a trip to Hagenbeck Zoo! The 19-hectare park, with innovative open enclosures, is a top attraction for people of all ages. 1,860 animals call this place home, and you can visit one of Europe's largest elephant herds, learn fascinating facts about the animals at exclusive shows, and feed an elephant or a giraffe yourself.
