When To Visit
With so many treasures to explore, Rome is a year-round destination. The most popular time for luxury travellers to visit the capital is in the summer from May to September. During this period, temperatures rise well above 20 degrees Celsius, with July and August being the hottest months peaking into the 30s.
Spring and autumn are cooler and make ideal seasons to wander all of Rome's attractions. Winter months are mild with occasional rains. It's a quieter time which is perfect for exploring popular sites at a leisurely pace.
