Chemerong Forest Reserve
Head into Chemerong Forest Reserve and discover a lush tropical rainforest where crystal-clear rivers snake between the trees, and emerald pools form perfect swimming holes. Hike further into the reserve and find the mighty Chemerong Waterfall. It's one of the highest falls in Malaysia and a spectacular sight to see.
Terengganu State Museum
Immerse yourself in the culture and history of Kuala Terengganu. One of the largest museums in Southeast Asia, Terengganu State Museum is split into several sections. The main collection is housed in traditional stilt buildings which explore the many cultures and history of the region, you can also find a maritime and fishery exhibition, as well as a botanic garden.
Tenggol Island Scuba Diving
Take a boat trip to the idyllic Tenggol Island and scuba dive the pristine waters. With brilliant visibility and rich coral gardens, this region is a paradise for diving enthusiasts. You have the chance to swim with batfish, humphead parrotfish, giant stingrays, leopard sharks and reef sharks. Whale sharks can also be spotted from August to September.
