Luxury Pattaya Holidays

Overview

Nestled on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, Pattaya is a city renowned for its white sand, palm-lined beaches and lively neon-hued bar scene, featuring cabaret shows and cocktail lounges. Historic buildings and temples provide cultural insights and unique museums celebrate the local history. Luxury Pattaya holidays offer world class hotels, seaside retreats, and a thrilling nightlife.

A two hour drive from Bangkok, Pattaya is one of the most famous resorts in Thailand. Walk sugary sands lapped by emerald and turquoise waters and delve into the resorts leisure activities, like scuba diving, fishing and golfing. Stop by the five floors of the Central Festival shopping mall at Pattaya Beach and browse over 300 exclusive stores and local boutiques. Be sure to visit the floating market with boat-stores selling handmade goods and Thai produce.

Take a trip to the Gems Gallery Pattaya and shop at a massive jewellery store with endless rows of fine rings and necklaces studded with rare stones. Encounter elephants and tigers at wildlife sanctuaries and spend a day strolling unique attractions like Art in Paradise, an interactive art museum with 3D artworks that put you in the picture. Take a boat tour to one of the beautiful surrounding islands, like Koh Larn Island, and explore more divine beaches.

Head to the north of Pattaya to the Naklua district and find a more traditional Thai atmosphere. This part of the city enjoys a relaxed, laid-back vibe with golden sands shared by local fisherman. It's a great place to get a taste of everyday Thai life. The area's also home to the stunning Sanctuary of Truth, an ornate wooden building made without a single nail.

When To Visit

Pattaya enjoys sunny weather all year round with temperatures averaging 30 degrees Celsius. The most popular time to visit the city is from November to January when there is less humidity and rainfall.

If you love the heat, from February to June is the hot season, when temperatures rise to the high 30s. The wet season is from July to October, and you'll find that during these months the hot weather continues, but with additional short showers, that leave behind blue skies and cool breezes.

Food & Drink

Enjoy fine dining at your luxury hotel in Pattaya. Begin your morning with fresh pastries and international breakfast buffets. In the evening, try a gourmet buffet or a la carte menus. Sample traditional Thai cuisine, from chicken green curry to massaman lamb, and Chinese specialities like dim sum.

You'll also get to taste authentic Italian dishes such as carbonara, baked pizza and lasagne. Try lots of different seafood, like lobster, cooked and served to your particular preferences. Relax and watch the sunset with a tropical cocktail in hand.

Passport & Visas

As with any holiday, it's a good idea to carry some identification with you and to keep a photocopy of your passport. British passport holders don't need a visa to enter Thailand for stays up to 30 days. Longer stays require a visa. Visit GOV.UK for more travel advice.
