Mausoleum of Halicarnassus

Built around 350 BC as the resting place for King Mausolus, this mausoleum was also one of the seven ancient wonders of the world. The magnificent tomb, with its monumental pillars and sculptures, once towered high above the land. Nowadays, the ruins offer a tantalising glimpse into the original beauty of the site.

Bodrum Castle

Also known as Saint Peter’s Castle, this imposing medieval site was built by the Knights Hospitaller. The fortress is still in excellent condition and its ramparts and battlements offer panoramic views of Bodrum's port. You'll also find the award-winning Museum of Underwater Archaeology at the castle, one of the most important museums of its kind in the world.
