Mekong Delta and Southern Beaches

Cai Rang Floating Market

Renowned as the largest floating market in all of the Mekong Delta, the Cai Rang Floating Market is a fascinating attraction. The best time to visit is from 6-7am, before most other travellers arrive, and whilst the morning is still cool enough for exploring. There is a bridge here that offers a great spot to take photos from.

Climb to the peak of Sam Mountain

Whilst Sam Mountain is only 182 metres in height, it's surrounded by paddy fields, and stands out against the mostly flat landscape. Follow a unique trail of ceramic dinosaurs to the top, and explore the colourful Buddhist temples along the way. Climb the lit path at dawn for an incredible sunrise view, and enjoy breakfast afterwards at a nearby café.

Cruise the Mekong Delta

Experience a unique cruise aboard a converted rice barge. Offering travellers one or two night luxury cruises across the Mekong Delta, this is the optimum (and traditional) way to the amazing landscape. Each vessel is impressively crafted with original hand carvings, and the cabins are a good size, featuring furnishings made from local textiles.
