To travel is to depart — from the familiar, from the daily routine, from the expected. But in this curated collection of art-inspired escapes, DepART becomes something more: a celebration of where the worlds of travel and creativity meet.
With an array of beautiful hotels in our repertoire, it was time we explored the world through an aesthetic lens. From buildings that blur the line between sculpture and structure to resorts engineered with impossible elegance – this is the kind of travel that sparks a little curiosity and celebrates the interplay between place and perspective. This is travel for those who see the world differently.
Each journey in DepART is shaped by design, led by emotion, and elevated by aesthetic. Whether you’re captivated by architecture, moved by a masterwork, or inspired by hands-on encounters with local artisans, we hope these experiences speak to the soul as much as they please the eye...

Some places make you pause before you’ve even stepped inside. They rise from cliffs and deserts, curve into coastlines, or gleam like a sculpture against the sky: bold silhouettes, quiet marvels, feats of imagination. Whether ancient or avant-garde, each one invites you to see the world differently – and maybe even feel it differently too.
And beyond the façade? These remarkable hotels carry their vision through every corridor and courtyard — each one a masterstroke of design, inviting you to step inside and feel the full force of their imagination.
Some spaces shape a moment. Suspended over oceans, carved into cliff faces, or hidden in the canopy, the globe is home to incredible hideaways where architecture becomes experience. Light and shadow play with intention, materials hold their own histories, and every angle is composed to move you. Not just structurally spectacular, but soul-stirring by design.
Here, we’ve gathered places where the structure becomes part of the story — hotels that don’t just shelter you, but stir something deeper, shaping how you see, sense, and stay.
These interiors embody their surroundings. Think sun-baked palettes drawn from the earth, prints that echo local heritage, wildlife woven into the walls, and craftsmanship steeped in place. Every room tells a deeper story of culture, of nature, of feeling. This is where design becomes atmosphere, and every detail makes you want to linger just a little longer.
These are the rooms that remember where they are. From locally dyed fabrics to handcrafted tiles, each hotel brings its landscape indoors — inviting you to not only stay in a place, but to feel woven into it.
In these rarefied spaces, creativity spills into every detail. Suites curated like salons. Hallways that hum with heritage. Voyages where the surroundings shift, but the sense of style never wavers. Whether it’s classical opulence or contemporary finesse, every element is placed with purpose. You’re invited to admire the art, yes, but also to live alongside it…
The following hotels blur the line between gallery and guestroom. Every space is a composition in itself, curated not just to be admired, but lived in — with a style that travels with you.
Some places speak in colour, in texture, in form. They whisper through temple walls and echo down gallery halls; they live in the hands of artisans and the quiet rhythm of age-old craft. This is travel that doesn’t simply show you the world, it lets you step inside its imagination. Let curiosity lead and you’ll find that the art is all around you, waiting to be experienced.
Bagru Village Block Printing

Restoration: a Focus on Caravaggio
Step beyond the gallery into the quiet world of art restoration, beginning with Caravaggio’s Madonna di Loreto and continuing into a working studio where masterpieces are revived.
Anime & Adventure
Tokyo opens a window into the artistry behind anime—from Ghibli-inspired pastries to interactive museum exhibits and the collector culture of Akihabara.
Morocco's Craft Workshop
Beyond the bustle of the souks, Marrakech’s ateliers offer a deeper connection to Moroccan craftsmanship.
Sacred Sites in Uluru
Uluru’s vast presence is more than geological; it’s spiritual and storied, a sacred place best explored with local Indigenous guides.
These cruises are curated with the same care as the collections they celebrate – where galleries glide with you and each destination deepens the story. Disembark into cities shaped by visionaries, wander gardens that stirred the greats, or trace the brushstrokes of culture through museum halls and hidden ateliers. Art isn’t a mere stop along the way; it’s the very reason to go.
Ponant – Artistic Adriatic with Pinault Collection - There are many cruises that promise culture. But this one lives and breathes it. Sailing the Adriatic in partnership with the legendary Pinault Collection, it feels less like a holiday and more like slipping backstage into the world of art itself.
Istanbul with Explora Journeys - Many cities promise history, but to deliver it in a way that impresses the modern day traveller is a whole other feat. In stone and mosaic, silk and spice, minaret and market, you’ll see layers of Istanbul’s past begin to unfold with Explora Journeys.
Barcelona with Oceania Cruises - Oceania Cruises’ Beyond Blueprints tours offer rare peeks behind the scenes at some of the world’s most iconic landmarks. In Barcelona, that means special stories from an architectural historian that cover the inspiration, reasoning and genius behind the city’s most debated landmarks.
Swan Hellenic – Ancient Symbols & Indigenous Expression - For those who see the world as a canvas, set a course with Swan Hellenic that traces natural and human artistry along Latin America’s Pacific coast.
Seabourn – Realms Reimagined: Middle Earth to Maori Mastery - If landscapes could tell stories, New Zealand’s would speak in tongues of myth, magic, and ancestral memories. On Seabourn’s 15-day voyage through Australia and New Zealand this December, you’re invited to delve into places where fantasy and folklore collide.
