Delos Island
This UNESCO World Heritage Site has no permanent population but is the perfect destination for a day trip from Mykonos. Samaria Gorge
For avid hikers, a holiday to Crete must include the Samaria Gorge. This 10-mile long canyon was carved out over thousands of years by the Tarraios River and is a place of dramatic beauty characterised by sheer cliff faces and tree-lined trails. Visit in late spring and you can enjoy a natural spectacle: the blooming of the wildflowers.
The Acropolis of Athens
