Casa das Histórias Paula Rego

Paula Rego is one of the most significant artists to come out of Portugal. Born in Lisbon, she was educated in Carcavelos and went on to produce works inspired by Portuguese folklore. At this excellent museum in Cascais, you can view over 600 of her paintings, drawings, and engravings – along with works by her husband, Victor Willing.

Water Sports at Guincho Beach

If you’re seeking the ultimate sunbathing spot, head for the sheltered beaches between Cascais and Lisbon. For water sports, on the other hand, Guincho is the place to be. This remote and wild stretch of beach is bordered by soft sand dunes and battered by the Atlantic, making it ideal for water sports.

Go Golfing

Many excellent golf courses can be found around Cascais and Estoril, as well as further north in the Sintra region. Set aside a day and head to Oitavos Dunes Golf Course to enjoy a leisurely round of golf with fantastic sea views. After a round in the Portuguese sun, you’ll be able to cool off poolside.
