Underwater, here you can snorkel or dive with Hammerhead Point, manta rays or Bull Bull. Enlist the help of an expert who will take you on a turtle quest or guide you though the reef’s secrets so you get the most of your underwater journey. The night time snorkel, which begins at sunset, is a busy time in the ocean as diurnal (daytime) fish rush home to shelter. The night time is the time for lionfish, lobster and octopus as well as the beautiful bioluminescent corals that literally light up the sea. The Discover Scuba Diving course is for beginners and there is a full range of PADI courses where you can gain a qualification for future Waterbaby explorations. On the water try sailing on a dhoni, kayaking, wake boarding, windsurfing and surfing. Above the water you can harness the power of the wind and take to skies kite surfing, parasailing or by jet pack.
Calling Surfers. Just off Niyama Play Island is a ‘classic, powerful left-hand ride. Five minutes by speedboat is Kasabu a surf point which has a hollow right hander and Hocus Pocus, 10 minutes away, is another barrelling right hander.
If you love the ocean you will want to conserve it and at Niyama the coral regeneration project invites you to cultivate a living habitat in the coral nursery. This is your way to give back. The resident Marine Biologist will help you learn to identify fish and coral and will explain the dangers to the natural and beautiful coral environment.

One&Only Reethi Rah is all about families and everyone having the holiday they deserve.
Activities are varied and we believe they give families the opportunities to try something new and expand their hobbies, hopefully continuing some when they return home.
For the artist, there is a studio and local artist to get your paintbrushes dancing or your pencils scratching. You can try ceramics, stained glass, miniature sculpture, quilling and jewellery making.
For the active, there are water sports – kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkelling and water trampolining to name a few and there are tennis courts, but what Reethi Rah has that reaches new heights is a climbing wall. It has a number of climbs and can accommodate 5 climbers at one time – it is worth a go to enjoy the view from the top.
Family orientated excursions include island hopping on the sea plane, dhoni trips to desert islands and the opportunity to swim or snorkel with Whale Sharks in the waters of South Ari.
Especially for the kids is KIDSONLY for ages 4 – 9, ONETRIBE for ages 9-11 and Teens for ages 12 – 17. There are daily programmes of activities for all ages and it is the opportunity to make new friends and chill with peers.
